Lamborghini SOGNA

The Lamborghini Sogna was created by Japanese designer Ryoji Yamazaki, head of the Art & Tech studio. At age 13, he had a dream about a supercar, and at 41, he made it a reality. It all started with a Lamborghini Countach and then he made an entirely new body from aluminum, painted it green and then debuted it at the 1991 Geneva Motor Show, with the intention of making it a limited production vehicle. That never happened, but a few years later another fully-functional Sogna was built for the 1994 Essen Motor Show. Continue reading for three videos and more information.

“It’s not an official Lamborghini model, obviously, which is why you get that bonkers body shell, but underneath Yamazaki retained the Countach’s running gear, so it’s still a 5.2-litre V12-engined supercar with 455bhp all running riot through the rear axle. Top speed was a reported 186mph. Though you’d have to be mighty brave to attempt that on an autobahn,” reports Top Gear.
