LG has officially unveiled the Optimus 2X, previously known as Star, which is the world’s first dual-core (1GHz Tegra 2 processor) phone. Other features include: a 4-inch WVGA screen, 8.0MP camera, and HDMI mirroring. It will be available in Korea beginning next month. Videos after the break. Click here for more pictures.

Unfortunately, the Optimus 2X is launching out of the gate with Android 2.2, but LG’s already committing to releasing Gingerbread updates “in due course.”
