Well, thing is, it IS pretty far to get into space. You can't just go 0-100MPH in a split second, the inertia would kill just about any human here. Time is needed to speed-up as well as slow-down time. That, and with higher speeds, makes for higher friction. Too much speed, and no matter what the structure is made of, will overheat and bend, if not melt, cause some BAD reactions. And, weigh the options. This might be cheaper to build and maintain then flights to space. So, higher cost will get you there faster, but for those on a budget, this might be a good answer. Besides, they might have bigger dreams than just the stratosphere... they might actually want to go quite farther. Judging by the animation, it appears to be a lot farther then 50km.

'Where' we go is customer driven. But note that a delivery to LEO must first ascend to a point just below GEO, and then let go. At that point the cargo falls into an elliptical orbit. You'll need a carrier to shape to the desired orbit.
Which is, yes, going to take a few weeks, for delivery to it's assigned orbit. So? This would bother some potential users but not - we think - many given the reduced cost for delivery, reduced cost for construction and design.

I like your blog, and so I'm forced to tell you that the automated ad linking in your blog text is incredibly irritating. It's a usability catastrophe. For example, the word "video" is underlined in the sentence "Video after the jump." If you click on it, you get a completely useless "search page" that is packed with irrelevant ads.
I rejected this same company's offer to "monetize" my site, which according to Google has about 8200 pages. I turned them down. You should really think about doing the same.
