Well if you used this out in public places like Light rail systems, Alley ways, Overpasses and such, not only will you be able to see the rats and cars passing by, but anyone that may be hiding and waiting to pounce on you :)

as an architect i can see a million and one uses for this! i'm excited to see it! imagine a building that needed heavy material to support itself which usually results in very low light, but low and behold, that is no longer the case. i can't wait to use this in a design!

Very cool! But you know how concrete gets worn away and bumpy over time (it might be a looong time I guess), isn't that gonna leave little sharp bits of glass poking out?

This is great for the UK, where there is never enough sunshine and houses are dark and gloomy. To have a wall made of this material would let more light into the house.

Great idea. Best thing is it could look see-through on both sides, or on only one side if you wanted. Even better would be if you could switch between the two or turn the feature off whenever you wanted (it's only fibres, after all).
