The Montana Magica Hotel in Chile looks to be straight from Middle Earth, and it’s not just a facade. This is actually a popular 4-star hotel shaped like a volcano of sorts, with plants, moss and vines covering the exterior. Throughout the day, this mountain streams water down the sides, putting on a show for guests of its 13 rooms, each of which features central heating, a bathroom, and a safety deposit box. Despite being situated on the Hulio Hulio preserve, on-site amenities include a game room, mini golf, a restaurant and even a bar. The reason for this waterfall design is because it’s intended to evoke an ancient legend that speaks of a magic mountain in the area that grants wishes.
