MagicJack unveils the Femtocell, a wireless base station that provides cell phone service for just $1.70 per month or $19.95 per year. Best of all, it will be priced at under $100. No word yet on availability.
Apparently just coming within eight feet connects your phone to the femtocell, after which you can supposedly travel anywhere you like in the house. Calls through the femtocell won’t use your minutes.
