After purchasing a brand new white Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG for $710,000 USD, an Argentinean man waited patiently for the vehicle to be delivered, but unfortunately something you’d never expect happened while it was being transported. Put simply, three containers – one containing the supercar – fell off from the cargo ship it was on and directly into the waters of Rio de la Plata near Port of Ensenada in Buenos Aires. It took approximately five days for rescue teams to recover the SLS AMG, but by then, it was too late. The SLS AMG was declared a total loss by the insurance company and was then transported back to Germany where it was dismantled.
