Chris Burden likes to call Metropolis II a kinetic sculpture, but we’d like to think of it as the world’s coolest Hot Wheels track. When running at full capacity, the track has 1100-cars on it simultaneously. Video after the break.

The entire set up took four years and 12 people to build. The thing looks completely custom to me; even most of the track seems to be custom made.
