Overview

Upon opening the package, which was an extremely sturdy box, you’re greeted with the earphones themselves, replacement tips, an instruction manual, and a nifty suede carrying pouch. Right off the bat, we noticed the interesting fabric cord, and it most certainly lives up to the claim of being tangle free, as no matter what kinds of tests we put it through, the material never got stuck in knots. Its aluminum construction definitely made these earphones very lightweight, perfect for the gym or any activity for that matter. They’re compatible with all devices that feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, and also offers the ability to answer calls when connected to a phone.

We tested these earphones with a variety of music – hip hop, electronica, rock, classical, even movie soundtracks – and the sound quality was excellent. The highs were very crisp and mids very rich, with thumping lows topping things out. Best of all, the sound isolation was excellent, due to the snug tips. According to Abraham Jackal, Marketing Manager of id America: “We are constantly looking for new ways to push the envelope with our designs…we strive to deliver headphones that feature vibrant colors, superior sound, and trend-setting style.”

Bottom Line

Overall, if you’re looking for an affordable set of stylish earphones that are lightweight and offer great sound quality, the Metropolitan in-ear headphones are the way to go.
