Microsoft to Release Windows Vista Ultimate Limited Numbered Signature Edition

That's right, Microsoft is set to release Windows Vista Ultimate Limited Numbered Signature Edition, at the price of $259.00. What sets this version apart from the others? It's individually serial numbered to 20,000 and signed by Bill Gates. Preorder page.
Something tells us it's just an embossed signature print or something along those lines, but either way it's down to you and 19,999 others prepared to get their fanboy on with the latest, greatest version of Windows

The only problem is for this price you get the UPGRADE Version of it, not the FULL!!!

LOL that's a sad marketing manoeuvre designed to try to create some excitement around what's shaping up as the least anticipated new release of a windows version. It may have been more interesting (not much) if they had only a few units that were actually signed in person.

lol it tells so much about you when you buy this, especially when you also happen to be an adult In any case, if you feel the urge, you really should ask yourself what makes you different from all the other people who don't buy this. This should be a hint. And then I'm not talking about money

monotonehell -- you're right on. I thought this was software, not a sports collectible. I guess they got us commenting though.

Signed by Bill Gates? Looks like it is just a laser etching of his name in Plastic. Why not just use a pen and write it in yourself and save yourself some money on an already overpriced piece of software?

Hmm, that box shows it's a limited edition of 20,000, but this link shows it at 25,000: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/freitasm/2117 I guess a MS "limited" edition is about as real as the signature on the box.

Is the limited version 20000 or 25000? Most advertisements show that it is 20000 but on the internet it shows 25000. are there two sets of limited editions? Is it really signed by the man himself?
