Will this be another case of “too little, too late”? Only time will tell, but for now Microsoft hopes takes to give Apple’s Siri and Google Now some competition with Cortana. Wall Street Journal mentions that it adapts to “what you want with a quirky personality of her own,” but will only focus on what matters. She’ll be included in Windows Phone 8.1 as a beta feature later this summer, along with updates to some older Windows Phones. Continue reading for a video and more information.

Cortana wil have access to basic information, such as emails, address book, location, calendar and web searches, to predict your needs. So she’ll give you the weather forecast, like Siri, but also remind you to leave for a meeting early when there is traffic, nag you to buy your mom a birthday present or alert you that your flight has been delayed, similar to Google Now.
