NEC LaVie LL590/GG

Weighing a very manageable 6.8-pounds, the LaVie LL590/GG is NEC's latest multimedia notebook. Featuring an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-50 (1.6-GHz) processor, 768MB of DDR2 SDRAM, 100GB HDD, ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 graphics, DVD Super-Multi drive, and a super bright 15.4-inch WXGA display with ShineView technology. External interfaces include, 4 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x FireWire port, 802.11 a/b/g WLAN, Gigabit Ethernet, and a 3-in-1 memory card reader. Available later this month in Japan, priced at $1,831.
