Unlike other remotes, this NEC Electronics prototype uses the vibrations from button presses to generate electricity, ridding the need for batteries. The power generated is reportedly enough to turn televisions on or off and change channels. It's currently being demonstrated at the Embedded Technology convention in Japan.
