New Chevrolet Camaro Concept Video

GM has just released a new video showcasing its Chevrolet Camaro Concept. Video after the jump.
The long hood, short deck and wide stance of the Camaro Concept leave no doubt that it is a serious performance car. Those looks are backed up by a 400-horsepower aluminum small-block V-8, a six-speed manual transmission, and a sophisticated chassis with four-wheel independent suspension

We have a 400hp engine in a sporty car! OMG! AND we have independant suspension!! WOW, AMAZING! AND I CAN GO AT 30mph with it, and if im feeling lucky, i can push it to, what 60, or lets be crazy, 90 mph, because you don't want to offend the local PD and start revving up the engine... no no no... that wouldnt be nice... sorry, just had to put that in. But honestly, what's the point of having 400hp of power in a car that will be driving in towns, and sometimes on highways? a goddamned Civic or even one of those smart cars can do that... i mean COME ON! WHAT ON EARTH IS THE POINT OF HAVING THAT MUCH POWER YOU'LL NEVER USE??? i want an answer. PS: if the TecheCrew would kindly let this message through filtering, i would be grateful

Kinda boring, but the huge highlight for me is that the car doesn't have daytime running light, that is extremely refreshing. Sure wish GM would recall their cars and get rid of the daytime lights, one can only hope.

I don't really like it... I didn't really like the look of the new Mustangs from what I saw on tv but after I saw a few at the dealship next to my aparment I really fell in love.

This car is gorgeous. What gets me is why, if the company can make a car like that, they don’t put it into productions. All these modern looking cars are being manufactured but are all concepts; if they were to be released on the open market they would easy out-sell all competition. Another thing that annoys me about this video is that speed. While listening to the sound in the video you can easily tell the car has a lot of power waiting to be released and yet the car cruises in the whole video at no speed greater then 20MPH. It is just like the trailer for the new Bentley Continental GTC, the car in that video does not exceed 3MPH. SERIOULSY, it ACTUALLY doesn’t go over 3MPH. This is from a car with a 12 Cylinder Turbocharger engine that can go from 0-60 in less then 5 seconds; WITH THE ROOF DOWN ! ! Why do they never show the true capability of the cars??????

Yawn, what a thrilling video. I almost shat myself. Seriously, were they trying to bore us into submission? I think I've seen that car somewhere before...oh yeah Ford makes one, and they call it the "Mustang."

Its just as much Dodge Charger as it is Mustang. High belt line, sunk in grill and lights, long hood, flaired read wheel openings... No wonder GM is hurting. That video was the lamest POS I've ever seen on techeblog. Seriously, whoever posted this video should be punished.

They won't show it doing donuts or going round a track because american cars handle like crap and are only fast in a strait line. I'm not saying they arent cool, but they just aren't made for the track.

This car will do alot for GM. I mean its not like they need it or anything, cause chevys are the 'shat' anyways. a 400hp from factory engine is just what i wanted for my birthday, since i was 1. thank you GM! Keena

yes, yes. Boring video and all that. You guys have no idea. Advertising laws now in affect prevent them from showing the full potentual of the car or they get thier butts kicked. Point one. The camaro and mustang both looked similar when they were first introduced so they are keeping with tradition. Point two. The point of this sort of car is extravigance, to have the best. And you can usually pay money at a track if you want to stretch its legs(legally) Ahem.heh.heh
