Pioneer has announced that it will end production of its remaining three LaserDisc players, which leaves "dozens of hardcore fans in the dust." With interesting ads like the one above, they should have no problems offloading their stock.

Yes, we're just as shocked and horrified to hear the news as you are, but it seems to be true. Pioneer, the last major electronics manufacturer to continue production of laserdisc players.

What's more shocking? That they are ending production... Or that they are still producing laserdisc players??? Come on...show of hands... Who knew they were still making these things?
