Pirkus-R Bluetooth Robot with Face Recognition

With a facial recognition upgrade via built-in CCD camera, the Pirkus-R can now identify faces at close range and determine if the person is on file. This 29 cm (1 ft) tall robot also features Bluetooth technology and an 8-bit CPU. It's available now at the hefty price of $2,158 (250,000 yen). Video clip after the jump.
"I Bee was responsible for developing the robot, which can be controlled from an au Bluetooth-enabled handset (W21T/W31T/W41T) using a BREW application."
