With a facial recognition upgrade via built-in CCD camera, the Pirkus-R can now identify faces at close range and determine if the person is on file. This 29 cm (1 ft) tall robot also features Bluetooth technology and an 8-bit CPU. It’s available now at the hefty price of $2,158 (250,000 yen). Video clip after the jump.
