PS3 Production Begins

According to The Commercial Times, Asustek has begun production of Sony's PlayStation 3 -- "with the aim of delivering up to 200,000 machines this month."
If Sony can pull 200,000 consoles for the next five months, that will give them the million they announced they'd have for a world wide launch. An eighth of what they need to satisfy demand, but it's better than not meeting even that modest promise

XBOX 360 and WII will over come PS3 at anything because WII is'nt that expensive only $100-$150. That is if you like mario games alot. But if like 3-d action games then you must have XBOX 360! It is $100-$200 cheaper than PS3 and worth the buy. The reason 360 isnt going up this year is because they only have a dosen games for 360. Next year Q1 of 2007 will come another dosen games, etc..

i can't believe that they are trying to pull atleast 200,000 a month, i dont think they will reach 100,000. i know alot of people who want to get this, but i don't think they will because they just can't afford it, the only reason why its got its stupid price tag is because they put so much junk like 50 usb's and 40 ethernet's [exaggeration] is because they are trying to beat the 360 and the wii. well i don't think its that good, but thats just my taste, so you sony fans, there is no need to get mad a me.

first of all you don't know what price the Wii will come out for. And it's actually supposed to be $200 -$250. Dunno what currency you're in htough. Second they have hddvd add-on for the xbox 360 which will make it's price closer to ps3's. PS3 has the games and the functionality period. Why buy a hd monitor for an Xbox and not able to play true hd movies? Why buy systems that are only good at a few things or have a few stars or not looking to the future, when you can buy a battle tested system. (even if Blu-ray drops you still have a dvd player and some hd movies and games will still play in hd) Everyone says the same thing each time a playstation comes and and you know what? we are back here again.

I will buy the pee machine just because I can, then I will get a ps3 because well why not? it will have some good games, I will not buy the hd-drive for the 360 cause well its probally gonna suck and I already will have a new hd-dvd player by then :)

Shelling out that kind of money to play games is absolutely stupid. I don't care how good the picture is or what games are available, That's too much to spend on games. I'd rather throw the money at a car and catch me some women with it instead. The X Box came out a year ago, and I still can't catch myself stupid enough to buy one. I don't want to offend anybody here but the plain cold facts are if you have one, it was bought with somebody else's money other than your own. I don't work too hard at my job and I make pretty good money working for an investigator, but I will not pay that kind of money to play a freaking game. Games will most likely cost about 60 to 70 bucks a shot. No thanks, I'll stick to real life instead. PS2 was my last system. RC vehicles and electronics are my hobbies, I can have alot of fun with throwing that type of money towards some "Real" toys.
