Now that you've seen the Koenigsegg CCR, Top Gear personality Jeremy Clarkson takes its successor -- the CCX -- out for a spin. This monster offers a twin-supercharged 4.7 litre V8 that pumps out 806bhp (normal petrol) - 900bhp (eco-friendly bio fuel) and has a top speed of 250mph. It rockets from 0-60 in a little over 3 seconds. Video clip after the jump.

A truly awesome car with specs not that far off the Veyron. Did anyone see the Stig demonstrate why this thing seriously requires a wing? Funny:)

A Pittsburgh native who delivered some biting comments about Pirates ownership as well as the first pitch in PNC Park this season. http://young-gay.kiseek.com/
hmmm gotta make a comment here,Look at the zonda f,far bigger wing than this one, look at the maserati even bigger.Same with the carrera GT,none of the mentioned cars would have come close to their laptimes without their wings.Stig spun the Carrera GT 6 times when he tried to set a fast lap,yet no one says that is unstable bla bla.Even clarkson himself said that they didnt have time to set up the car properly since it has adjustable suspension, brakebalance and so on.(pre-production car)
Koensigseggs spokeperson said that the car was oversteering because of that and with a proper setup the wing would not be needed(they also said that the corner-speeds achieved on top gears track wasnt fast enough for the wing to generate any substantial downforce).
The koenigsegg wing has been there as a option, both the cc8s and the ccr can be ordered with one as it will be the same option for the ccx.Check their site out, specifically the german ccr test where a similar wing is mounted.
Of course theyre aware of the fact that a wing helps somewhat for VERY fast track-use like this but how many of those that have 540 000$ to spend on something like this have the balls or skill enough to even come close to this level of driving ?
The wing isnt needed for the majority of the owners,it does look better without one, more clean and sleek impressive and also has a higher topspeed.I think that appeals more than shaving a few seconds of your laptime, for this kind of money you can buy a proper racecar anyway.

I was born in Switzerland and my uncle he is one of the head of Fast cars companies which at that time he was working for Alfa Romeo..I am a very lucky guy to be his nephew necause one day he brought the KoenigsEgg and we took a t a track...This car was fast very fast, reminded me a lot on the Saleen 7 made by Ford, but again at the end the design of these cars are not practical. That is why Buggati is one of the most amazing car ever made through out juman kind. The Bugatti will be the first and last fastes street car ever made.
