Road Test: Subaru WRX STi Spec C Type RA-R

Limited to just 300 units worldwide, the Subaru WRX STi Spec C Type RA-R comes equipped with a "EJ20 Boxter motor (2.0L DOHC) offering 432Nm" of torque. Video after the jump.
..hearing the RA-R's WRC-style exhaust note made us want to dial up Shatner for help in Pricelining our way over to Japan, pronto. Alas, that's not in the cards, so we'll live vicariously through Nihon Car

Only 300 units? Subaru has lost all of the private ralley drivers since they made the 2.5 liter engine, which is not suitable for ralleysport. For me the Impreza stands for true ralley and I have lost any interest in it, since they didn't stick to the 2.0l agreement.

Ive seen what the 2.5 block can do. I just hate the styling of it i think sti i think huge fucking spoiler.

"Ive seen what the 2.5 block can do." It's great, but it does not suit the rules of the WRC. It has to be a 2.0l engine which is about 1998 cm³. IMHO it does need that certain "I wanna look like an idiot"-look to be unique ^^
