Road Test: Vauxhall Monaro VXR

Top Gear personality Richard Hammond takes the Vauxhall Monaro VXR out for a road test. It sports a 6.0L LS2 V8 engine that generates 404hp and 391 ft. lb torque. Video clip after the jump.
Along with the new engine, virtually the entire drivetrain has been upgraded with revised suspension and bigger brakes to ensure that the latest version can keep the power tamed while still being thrilling to drive. With its classic front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout, the Monaro has already gained a reputation for being an enthusiastic driver’s favourite

It's a Holden Monaro. Designed in Australia and originally manfactured here as well. It's so bizarre to see such a classic car series now being marketed under the name Vauxhall. A bit sad actually.
