Here’s a first look at the Samsung Galaxy Round, an innovative device that boasts a “Roll Effect”, which allows users to check notifications by simply tilting the smartphone. It’s the first smartphone to feature a curved 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 13-megapixel camera, microSD expansion, and Android 4.3 (with Touch Wiz). A “Gravity Effect” lets you tap the left and right side to activate the device’s “Bounce UX”, which controls music. And you can also apparently tilt the Galaxy Round left and right (presumably in the Gallery app) to view photo and video albums in a feature called “Side Mirror.”

It’ll be released tomorrow in “Luxury Brown” for 1.09 million won (about $1,013) with more colors colors coming soon; no details of an international launch have been made available.
