Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Review

In addition to being one of the first handsets to feature built-in, dual-standard wireless charging technology, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge boasts a curved display where the notifications appear on either the right or left-hand side, depending on which hand the owner uses. Up to five contacts can be programmed to appear on this edge, and each contact is assigned a color. Contacts can be accessed when users swipe the relevant color to reveal recent interactions and details about that person. On the other hand, swiping the long edge of the screen shows the time, weather or other customized notifications. Accidentally placed your phone face down? No worries, as the edge glows to show a phone call, text or email has been received. If these messages are from a saved contact, the edge will glow the relevant color. “Both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have similar specifications. In fact the only real difference between the two phones is the battery capacity. The Edge has a slightly larger battery, at 2600mAh, the S6 has 2550mAh. The big question though is how will Samsung’s Exynos processor compare, both in performance terms and battery consumption, to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810…Samsung is using an octa-core processor which runs four cores at 2.1GHz and four at 1.5GHz,” reports Forbes.
