Self Cooling Beer Can

Tempra Technology and Crown Holdings have partnered to develop the world's first self cooling beer can. It looks like a normal 500ml can, but features an integrated self-cooling device that reduces the "contents by a minimum of 30° Fahrenheit (16.7° C) in just three minutes."
"When activated, the all natural desiccant contained within a vacuum draws the heat from the beverage through the evaporator into an insulated heat-sink container."

Finally. You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this! Even though it's so cold here in northern sweden, it will be easier to chill your drink this way instead of hanging it out of your window :P

A self cooling beer can was invented about two years ago, i remember seeing it online. It was just very expensive to make, so they couldn't mass produce it. Let's hope this one catches on.

I don't drink... but if they implemented this into Vitamin Water, or Gatorade... i'd be in heaven.

why not invent a device that you put the beer can in and have it cool in less than 3 minutes? I'm sure someone has thought about this and this would be more practical from a manufacturing standpoint.

The only problem is the ammount of space the system takes up in the can. More liquid the better I say.

All you have to do is put the six pack in a cooler with ice, water and salt. They tested this in myth bustets. It will take about 5 mins for the beer to be a drinkable temperature.

I prefer to finish my beer before it gets warm. And are there really many good beers that come in a can? What would they do, put one of these on a $.30 can of naty light.

Sif pay ~$50 for sumthink that can cool but cant be REFILLED!!! A BUCKET OF ICE AND WATER WITH SALT WILL COOL A BEER CAN IN 1 MINUTE. YOU CANT WAIT 1 MINUTE???
