Simon Beck Snow Art Dragon

Simon Beck, the famous snowshoe artist, is back at it again, and his latest project is definitely no slouch. Located in Yakutsk, Siberia, this massive snow dragon was created to promote the new film “Drakony” using raquettes. While it may seem larger than life, Beck normally spends between 5-9 hours on each one of his snow art creations. Continue reading for two videos of his work, and more information.

“Grabbing a compass, he headed out to a snow covered lake to walk out a pattern of a pentangle. After issues with his feet meant that he could no longer continue orienteering map-making seriously, he turned to snow art as a form of low-key exercise, with the eventual idea of building up a collection of pictures and putting together a book,” according to My Modern Met.
