Movie Juxtaposition

Christopher Moloney, a Canadian photographer, brings movie magic to life in his latest series, FILMography, which is an ongoing project that blends scenes from movies with their real-life, present-day locations. He starts by printing out a monochrome still from the film and then proceeds to align it perfectly with the actual building, street, or or landmark behind it. This project “emphasizes the passage of time since the scene was filmed, but also calls attention to the astonishing fact that such ordinary places have been traversed by the likes of Anne Hathaway and Tom Hanks.” Continue reading for more.
