Sony VAIO "Type L" Series

Breaking completely from the standard design for desktop systems, Sony's new "Type L" series is the first to boast a transparent chassis. Models can be configured with a 15.4-inch/19-inch (WXSGA+) display, Core Duo T2300 (1.66GHz)/Celeron M 420 (1.60GHz) processor, 512MB of RAM, 80GB/200GB hard drive, DVD Super Multi drive, and an analog TV tuner. Other perks include a 3.1-megapixel webcam, multi-format memory card reader, and four USB 2.0 ports. Prices start at $1,693.

VAIO's had a computer like this for a while now.. our family bought one about a year ago. We keep it in the kitchen and it's pretty functional there since it doesn't take up much space when it's folded. The version we have has a keyboard thats a bit further from the screen... the one in this article looks a bit uncomfortable.. the optional TV is a cool thing to have since we don't have an actual TV in the kitchen
