Sony's new D-VE7000S takes portable media players to the next level by adding a built-in DVD player. The drive is compatible with DVD±R/RW, DVD+R/-RW DL and CD-R/RW (for MP3/JPEG) media. It features a vibrant 7-inch (480×234) display, 450mW×2ch speakers and an integrated Dolby Digital/DTS decoder. The unit measures 193.7 x 32.7 x 136.3 mm and weighs a hefty 1.7-pounds. Sony will start shipping the D-VE7000S on June 1st -- priced at $300.
