Starman Tesla Roadster

It’s official, SpaceX’s Starman in the Tesla Roadster passed Mars’ orbit, and is one of the greatest distances away from the Sun. Models by Ben Pearson shows that Starman won’t make a close approach to Earth until November 4th, 2020, or to be more specific 0.35AU (32 million miles) away. However, for a truly close Earth visit, you’ll have to wait until 2091. Continue reading for another video and more information.

“While it isn’t about to rendezvous with Mars, this is no mean feat for an EV-toting mannequin. And you might want to remember this moment — it’s going to be a long time before Starman is close to Earth. Short of a purposeful encounter or an unexpected collision, Starman could be quite lonely for thousands or even millions of years,” reports Engadget.
