Star Wars Episode VII Official Trailer

After all of the teasers, the official Star Wars Episode VII – The Force Awakens trailer has been released. Cinematographer Daniel Mindel stated that the film would rely on the employment of real locations and scale models over computer-generated imagery, in order to make the film aesthetically similar to the original Star Wars trilogy. Rian Johnson, director of Episode VIII, reiterated that Abrams will use little CGI and more practical, traditional special effects, saying, “I think people are coming back around to practical effects.” Continue reading to watch.

On November 6, 2014, the title of the film was officially announced as Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Despite previously being known simply as Star Wars Episode VII, and not having Episode VII in the title, Episode VII will still be featured in the opening craw. It is the seventh film in the Star Wars series, and is scheduled for release on December 18, 2015.
