Lotec is basically a German sports car manufacturer that was founded in 1962 by Kurt Lotterschmid. In 1983, they began to create aftermarket aerodynamic and performance parts for Mercedes-Benz cars. Fast forward to 2004, and the Lotec Sirius was introduced, powered by a Pagani Zonda C12S-sourced, twin-turbocharged V12. The vehicle itself is composed primarily of reinforced carbon fiber, which lends to its relatively low curb weight. Lotec also planned to release a re-designed version of the Sirius for 2009, that boasts updated body work while retaining the same motor and transmission as the current model.
