While there are plenty of off-road electric bikes on the market now, the XTERRAIN500 adds the unique ability of swapping in a 10-inch-wide tire up front. This strange setup supposedly provides the front end with lots of float to prevent it from getting bogged down on soft surfaces, such as sand. Its 500-watt/48-volt electric rear hub motor is powered by a Samsung 48V 9-Ah battery, enabling it to achieve a top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h), with a 25 mile range on a single charge.
