The Future of Cell Phone Gaming?

Nokia has just released a demo showing off the N93's graphical power -- a Tekken-like fighting game is supposedly generated in real-time with fluid CG animation and beautiful lighting effects. Video (courtesy of Siliconera) after the jump.
The footage is not pre-rendered it is real time on a new Nokia phone. Who’s next took advantage of motion capturing technology to make a realistic 3D fighter

ahh i remeber the good ol days of bag phones and the only features of cell phones were that they were cordless and recieved phone calls

I don't think that's the gameplay. gameplay in fighting games is generally side view - those camera angles look like a promo video.

pretty cool, but as long as the games are that boring and uninspired I dont think I'll be paying actual money for them.

lol, what gets me is that there is actual pixel shading. cell phone graphics have come a long way. the only problem now is, the controller.

I dont know if any of you guys had a NGage but I had one and the first "ONE" for the Ngage sucked big time... It was a failed attempt to create a Tekken for mobile but it failed drastically... No decent story except you gotta be "The one", uninteresting characters also fighting to become "The one", movements were very limited and hard to master and all the characters had the same moves... The graphics were actually pretty impressive for a mobile at the time but that alone doesnt do anything for the game if all the rest was really bad... I dont know how youre suposed to play with that mobile cause in the Ngage even with the directional pad and all made for gaming it was a pain in the @ss to play... Although the trailer is impressive... But still the trailer for "ONE" on the Ngage was also impressive at the time...

Looks great, but the game it-self may not be :p ATTENTION! you can buy keyboard for nokia n93 xD this is real! i have this phone ;) i reqommend to buy this... it's not cheap but you wont regread of buying :)
