Estonia-based defense provider Milrem has unveiled THeMIS ADDER, a shape-shifting mini tank that can be remotely controlled, and equipped with a 360° rotating CIS 50MG capable of hitting targets up to 1.1-miles away. Not just a rolling war machine, it can carry up to 1,653 to 2,205 pounds of gear, and cruises between 15-21.7 mph. Alternative uses include: a remote reconnaissance platform, C-IED platform and medevac vehicle. “Unmanned systems will play a significant role in the development of military capabilities in future. Within the next 10 years, we will see smart ground systems complimenting the human troops during joint missions,” said said Milrem CEO Kuldar Vaarsi.
