Paravelo Flying Bicycle

XploreAir have unveiled Paravelo, the world’s first flying bicycle. An electric motor powers the biofuel-powered fan, while a flexible wing controls the takeoff process. It can hit altitudes of 4,000 feet as well as achieve speeds of 15 miles per hour on the ground and 25 miles per hour in the air. Best of all, you won’t need a special license to fly this machine for up to 3-hours at a time. Continue reading for a video and more information.

The Paravelo can be used as a standalone folding bicycle that will fit in even the tiniest apartment and on various forms of public transportation, or it can be combined with the trailer that whisks the thing into the sky at altitudes of up to 4,000 feet. The flying bike’s inventors don’t necessarily promote their product for the daily commute, but they do envision a future of combining flying the Paravelo and camping – ‘flamping,'” according to Inhabitat.
