Photographer Jason Siegel wanted to promote anti-violence, but in a unique way. So, he took some old equipment and transformed them into guns as well as other weapons of war using cameras, lenses, and accessories for his installation called “Shoot Portraits, Not People.” According to the EVOKE Contemporary’s Railyard gallery space: “Sniper rifles, Uzis, claymore mines and even a 1947 Willys Jeep…occupy the gallery in a jarring and immersive display of military paraphernalia. Upon closer inspection of this provocative exhibit, however, we find lenses disguised as grenades, photo winders in place of triggers and film canisters strung together as ammunition belt.” Click here for the first image in today’s viral picture gallery.
