Unstealable Bike

One student decided to design a bike that just can’t be stolen without breaking the frame itself. The video above shows that bike’s frame can unlatching, along with the seat post, to enable you to wrap it around a stationary object. In other words, the frame itself becomes a part of the lock. The only way to get it free is to break the frame, making it useless, and hopefully, not worth stealing. Continue reading for more images.

Inhabitat says, “Of course, the tires and saddle can still be stolen, so it isn’t the perfect solution. But if you live in an area where stolen bikes are a constant problem, it’s definitely cheaper to replace a tire or two than an entire bike – and you don’t have to worry about forgetting or lugging that heavy U-lock around.”
