This is What Happens When a Satellite Crashes into the Moon

For those who've always wondered what happens if a satellite crashed into the moon, the Japan Aerospace and Exploration Agency (JAXA) has just the video for you. Continue reading to watch. Click here for first picture in gallery.

The 3D movie was created based on observation data captured about 12 minutes prior to the controlled crash, as the probe headed toward its final destination near the Gill crater.

I completely second Flint, wheres the crash?! a 12 year old could have made that using 3ds and a displacement map off of the NASA website..snooze

ps. by that video, i'm guessing you can't crash in space..but get a damn nice view.
