At first glance, this may look like a scene from a movie, but it’s a real cabin in the forest by Jacob Witzling. Believe it or not, Jacob’s day job is teaching, but his father was an architect and engineer, so it piqued an interest in building structures. He would constantly flip through photography books of beautiful structures and decided to start building these tiny cabins.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Jacob Witzling, he’s become the creator of some of the most eye-catching cabins in the world. He built his very first cabin at the age of 22 for just $800 USD, and the rest is history. You can safely say that the cabins he builds today are worth quite a bit more. Looking through his portfolio, you’ll be able to observe the many awe-inspiring homes in the forests of the Pacific Northwest. Plus, most of his cabins are made from reclaimed and locally sourced wood.
