Hey Mariusz, theyre not mentioning who came first... And you cant possibly compare the gameplay between Mario64 and Pandemonium... Mario64 was truly inovative for its time...

spuer mario 64 wasn't a side scroller it was a 3d platform game it only said that super mario bros for the nes was a side scroller

But Mario 64 got in because it featured the first 3D camera whilst Pandemonium was (in essence) a 2d game with 3d graphics.

hey how about Civilization and Test Drive, IMHO i believe those games were pioneers in their particular genres that led to more modern and very successful games

so far as innovative- i thought the turn based xcom was way up there - I would be on that for hours- it was the first major scope TBS that I ever played- since the battles were turn based, but combined with the scope of research, base building and space travel it was pretty out there for '94 - I guess since the format never caught on big it wasn't included, but it was awesome- also as far as TBS, worms is a fave as well as the old sega master of monsters
