SEGA of America contracted a talented designer to create one of the coolest PS3 cases ever, featuring a creepy Aliens chest burster. Fortunately, it’s not just for show, as the console is fully-functional.
2. Far Cry 2
Far Cry 2 may not be as popular as Gears of War 2, but that doesn’t mean modders have to tone things down when it comes to incredible PS3 case mods. Take for example, this creation by Bit-Tech’s Butterkneter. No details were spared, as you’ve probably already noticed, right down to the rust.
3. Rainbow 6 Vegas
Think of this Rainbow 6 Vegas PS3 case mod as more of a diorama than just a new shell. It features an entire Las Vegas scene, complete with light-up Eiffel Tower, helicopter, sign, and S.W.A.T. team vehicle.
4. Steampunk
Steampunk isn’t usually associated with game consoles, or PlayStation 3s for that matter, but here’s on mod that’s worthy of the Victorian makeover. One caveat: all the piping used can’t be used to power the console.

Built by Morpheon Mods, this Metal Gear Solid 4-themed PS3 case mod is amazing to say the least. Featuring “a laser-cut, stainless steel MGS4 marquee, a laser-etched image of Solid Snake himself, a carbon fiber Fox Hound logo on the back, and 14 white micro LEDs to light it all up.”
