Vatican Archives

The Vatican Secret Archives, located in Vatican City, contain the state papers, correspondence, papal account books, and many other classified documents which the church has accumulated over the centuries. The entrance to the Archives, adjacent to the Vatican Library, is approached through the Porta di S. Anna in via di Porta Angelica. New underground storage space was added in 1980. Qualified scholars from institutions of higher education pursuing scientific researches, with an adequate knowledge of archival research, could apply for an entry card. Scholars need an introductory letter by either a recognized institute of research or by a suitably qualified person in the field of historical research. 5. Moscow’s Metro-2

Metro-2 is a secret underground metro system which parallels the public Moscow Metro. The system was built during the time of Joseph Stalin and was codenamed D-6 by the KGB. It is supposedly still operated by the Main Directorate of Special Programs (ru) and Ministry of Defence. The length of Metro-2 is rumored to exceed that of the public Metro. It is said to have four lines, and to lie 50 to 200m deep. It is said to connect the Kremlin with the Federal Security Service (FSB) headquarters, the government airport at Vnukovo-2, and an underground town at Ramenki, in addition to other locations of national importance.

4. RAF Menwith Hill

Royal Air Force Menwith Hill (RAF Menwith Hill) is a secretive Royal Air Force station near Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England which provides communications and intelligence support services to the United Kingdom and the United States of America. The site contains an extensive satellite ground station and is a communications intercept and missile warning site and has been described as the largest electronic monitoring station in the world.

3. Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center

The Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center is a little known civilian command facility in Virginia, used as the center of operations for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The facility is a major relocation site for the highest level of civilian and military officials in case of national disaster, playing a major role in US continuity of government. The underground facility within Mount Weather, designated “Area B”, was completed in 1959. FEMA established training facilities on the mountain’s surface (“Area A”) in 1979. The above-ground portion of the FEMA complex (Area A) is at least 434 acres (176 ha). This measurement includes a training area of unspecified size. Area B, the underground component, contains 600,000 square feet (56,000 m2).

2. Hangar 18

Ever wonder what actually happens when a UFO crashes? Some researchers claim that the wreckage, and even the pilots, are transported to a top-secret facility in Dayton, Ohio called Hangar 18 located on Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Recently declassified government documents prove that the disk from the famous Roswell event and fragments of other mysterious crashes were shipped to Wright Patterson.

1. Dulce

Dulce Base is an alleged secret alien underground facility under Archuleta Mesa on the Colorado-New Mexico border near the town of Dulce, New Mexico in the United States. Starting in 1979, Albuquerque businessman Paul Bennewitz became convinced he was intercepting electronic communications from alien spacecraft and installations outside of Albuquerque. By the 1980s he believed he had discovered an underground base near Dulce. The story spread rapidly within the UFO community and by 1990, UFOlogist John Lear claimed he had independent confirmations of the base’s existence.
