Overview

Right off the bat, we noticed much improved graphics, from the character select screen to the actual gameplay itself. The right thumbstick (Xbox 360) can now be used for serving and dropshots, but it does take some time to get used to. Gameplay is very straightforward and easy to pick up, however, fatigue does play a big factor in how your character performs.

Career mode offers players the ability to earn XP (used for new equipment) / points when matches are won. Unlike Virtua Tennis 3, there are no training games to play. Eventually, your character will reach the pro level, as attributes are earned, which unlocks the World Tour mode. This allows you to challenger players from around the world on Xbox Live.

Conclusion

Overall, we really enjoyed playing Top Spin 3, and it's just as if not more fun than Virtua Tennis 3, especially the World Tour mode. Whether it be the player models or animations, everything was spot on.
