Valyrian Steel

Game of Thrones fans can probably see where this vehicle got its looks, as Valyrian Steel is a fictional metal that was forged in the days of the Valyrian Freehold, and one of two things that can kill the White Walkers, the villains of this series. Henry Chang spent over 2,000-hours building this work of art from 304 and 316 stainless steel for this year’s Burning Man event. It’s not just a static sculpture, this 27-foot-long monster is powered by a 2015 Ford 5.0L Coyote engine. Continue reading for two more videos and information.

“The art car is not yet finished. Those wheels that look like they were stolen from the Tumbler Batmobile will be capped by arches, and there will also be more bodywork installed. As for the sculpture, it was inspired by models of the solar system and the tourbillon mechanisms of watches. It works by delivering the power through numerous gears to various prop shafts, but it isn’t quite ready either. At some point, ‘Valerian Steel’ will even become road-legal,” reports Auto Evolution.
