VIDEO: 1000hp Jet-Powered Dodge Caravan

For those looking to add more power to their Dodge Caravan, check out this jet-powered version. This beast supposedly runs an 11.17-second quarter mile. Video after the break. Click here for first picture in gallery.

The turbine is government surplus and the flames are courtesy of judicious use of fuel sprayed into the helicopter engine's exhaust. Though the pyrotechnics make for a good show, Krug says they provide no boost in acceleration

If it runs 1/4 a mile in 11.17 seconds, would that mean its only doing about 81 miles per hour? Thats not that fast.
