Gizmodo demonstrates The North Face's Endurus XCR Boa trail running shoes, which sports a "lacing system that lets you tie your shoes by turning a special knob, dialing in an even and reproducible tightness that can't come loose." Video after the jump.
...relatively light at about 16 ounces each, and they're made of waterproof Gore-Tex which is breathable but keeps those feet dry

yeah the definately have those in snowboard boots, and have had them for like 2 or 3 years now... the wires break a lot

Puma put out shoes with a dial on the front over 10 years ago. They were ugly as heck but so are these

These have been done before. what i really want to see is a pair of shoes where you can customize the tightness you like and then just press a button to have them automatically tighten.

burton has the same thing for some of their snowboard boots called speed lacing..very helpful....and the northface shoes are very awesome makes things much easier when hiking
