I dont know why everyone is so worked up about a 1TB hard drive. Its got a sh** speed (drives are already up to 15,000RPM) and the size is pathetic - you can buy two 500GB drives and stick em together. WASTE OF MONEY!

who has the patent rights now, hitachi. 70% of the laptop and other small devices use hitachi HD. right now it's 1 TB HD, but by the end of the year i'll be 10-20 TB HD.

Hurm, perhaps it is because of Raid configurations that this would be quite useful, and not everyone cares about speed if it is just for file storage. I can see this being a great addition to the home user, but as a business solution perhaps time is needed to increase the RPMs.
