OpenMoko's FIC Neo1973 is the world's first Linux-powered, open source phone. It features a 2.8-inch (480x640) touchscreen display, Samsung s3c2410 SoC, a Global Locate AGPS chip, 128MB SDRAM, 64MB NAND Flash memory, and a microSD card slot. Video after the jump.

A demo of the device would have been nice. I would really like to see this on the high street one day but I'm expecting it to flop or disappear fairly quickly, unfortunately these smaller phone manufacturers just don't have the money to promote and advertise their products to the masses. Maybe it will be a seller in a niche geek market.

grrrr!!!!! i really really really want one! Its suppose to come out next month for around $350. If my information is accurate, then i would think that this technology is a bargain for the price.
