VIDEO REVIEW: LG Voyager - The Touchscreen Multimedia Phone

At 118 x 54 x 18 mm, the LG Voyager features a primary 2.8-inch (240 x 400) touchscreen display, secondary 2.8-inch (400 x 240) display, 2.0-megapixel camera, microSD/SDHC card slot, Bluetooth, and EV-DO. The Voyager is truly for the consumer that is looking for the ultimate showstopper without making the leap to a Smartphone. Some people have referred to the Voyager as the "iPhone killer", but we don't believe that's the case. Even though it is quality device, it is lacking the cache that surrounds the iPhone

i dont really like the voyager. its not that unique and it's just like the enV. im not very impressed. but overall, it looks stylish and slick. but i dont recommend it.

Nor can I recommend it. If the Voyager killed the iPhone, such an assertion is only in the minds (and wallets) of tech reviewers/journalists that simply used the "marketing points" offered up by LG/Verizon and ran with it. Forget the touchscreen. Seriously. It's virtually unresponsive even if you use the corner of an eraser on a No. 2 pencil to scroll around. The pages load slower than dial up and doesn't offer WiFi. The phone has a penchant for locking up like an old 486 and crashing when using the keyboard feature to TRY to peruse internet pages. In short, that feature sucks too. Although the Voyager has on/off settings for JavaScript, forget watching YouTube, etc. If it can be updated - I honestly don't know. I haven't tried - yet. I'm sure Verizon has a ready answer but I suspect I'm not going to like the answer. Again, if you're interested because of these features, make sure you "test drive" it before purchase. Good luck.
