Paint Over Paint

Pouring paint over paint doesn’t sound too exciting, but artist Holton Rower would like to prove otherwise. So, he gathered up his friends, took ordinary plywood, boxes, lots of acrylic paint, and started to create swirling, psychedelic art pieces that are half painting, half sculpture, and hypnotizing to say the least. “The paintings’ creations are hypnotizing, with each band of color growing and twisting into a new shape, like planetary rings or biological structures. Plus, it looks like a lot of fun to make. When the paint is dry, the whole apparatus of wooden boxes and boards is lifted up from the floor and mounted on the wall for viewers to see their (almost) symmetrical forms,” says Viral Nova.
