(Video) Skydiving with Turbine Engines

A daring skydiver decided to strap a pair of turbine engines onto his boots -- see what happens after the jump.
Well, one gutsy, and apparently rich, skydiver decided to have a go at flying without wings by strapping a pair of turbine engines to his boots. Lucky for us, there was video coverage, and the internet. Youtube has it all for us to gape at

That's pretty hot, though I cant understand his figures very well, maybe its because I can't hear through his accent when its super quiet for work viewing, either way, frickin sweet.

you can pull up until you are flying sideways with those squirrel suits but you can only maintain it for a while. was he flying totally sideways or was he going down a little? i couldn't understand. did he only stop flying sideways because the fuel ran out?

That was sweet. I'd love to get one of those for my mountain bike! I know the camera angle was goofy, but it seemed to me that when the camera man first cought him in his jump, SquirrlMan took off horizontal. I would assume that he could maintain altitude with the jets.
